Party Makes Christmas Warm for Youngsters

By Al Campbell

COURT HOUSE — What started to make the holidays brighter for just a few youngsters in need blossomed into nearly 100 this year.
The Hamer School of Karate Christmas Party for less fortunate children was held at Davies Recreation Center Saturday, Dec. 13.
Each child received a coat, hat and pair of gloves, and a big bag of toys especially for them given by Santa himself.
Santa arrived on the Court House Fire Department’s aerial ladder truck, and descended to the crowd of enthusiastic youngsters, who have been enjoying an array of donated food and entertainment.
The parents of the children enrolled in the karate school assist in making the day a pleasant one for all.
