Parrot Heads meet for Halloween

Join members of the Jersey Shore Parrot Head Club of Atlantic and Cape May counties on Wednesday, October 14, at Celina’s Café in Galloway Township.
In addition to a regular monthly meeting, the event will be a costume party in celebration of Halloween. Adults will compete for the Best Dressed Wench and Best Dressed Pirate. Parakeets 12 years and under will compete for best costumed girl and boy.
Members are asked to bring donations of new or gently used children’s costumes for the Atlantic County Women’s Center.
Celina’s Café is located directly across from Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Sunrise Plaza, at 68 W. Jimmie Leeds Road in Galloway. Phlocking begins at 6:30 p.m. Celina’s is B.Y.O.B. For more information about Celina’s Café, visit www.celinascafe.com.
On Saturday, October 31, the JSPH Club will participate in the Vampire Sprint Halloween 5K and One-Mile Fun Walk to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The club will make a $250 donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
All members and interested persons are invited to come join the fun by 8:30 a.m. at the Bellview Winery, located at 150 Atlantic St., in Landisville, NJ. Beth Zoller will coordinate “Team Parrot Head.” Contact her with any questions at zollerbird@comcast.net.
