Missing Alzheimer Patient Found

RIO GRANDE — Shortly before noon on Monday, Feb. 9, Lower Township police reported that a missing Alzheimer patient from Middle Township had been found safe at Seashore Campground.
Middle Township Police Department searched for a a 72-year-old male, of Grande Woods Trailer Park here.
He reportedly walked away from his residence at approximately 8 a.m.
A search of the immediate area did not locate the missing adult.
The Middle Township Police set up a command post and requested assistance from the Rio Grande Fire Department, Green Creek Fire Department, and U.S. Coast Guard to help search the area.
The Cape May County Prosecutors Office and Middle Township Police searched local businesses in Rio Grande.
During the search process, the Lower Township Police Department located the missing adult at Seashore Campground off of U.S. 9 in Lower Township.
The search was suspended and the missing adult was returned to the care of his family.
