Middle Township’s Young Musicians Perform in Concert

By Al Campbell

COURT HOUSE — The evening of Dec. 4 was a memorable one for the musicians in Middle Township High and Middle schools as they performed a Christmas concert under direction of Richard Sterling.
Throughout the evening, many soloists performed, especially those seniors in high school who have practiced throughout their school years to achieve perfection.
Under the direction of Ginny Russ, who teaches music technology, the high school’s iPad Band presented its first performance after having practiced together for about 30 minutes prior to the concert. She promised that more and greater presentations would take place at the Spring Concert and beyond.
The highlight of the evening was a selection that Sterling attributed as a credit to the American spirit to overcome bad with good. It focused on the Sept. 11, 2001 attack on the United States and the hijacked plane that crashed in Pennsylvania.
That selection can be heard by visiting: www.capemaycountyherald.com where the video is available for viewing.
