COURT HOUSE – Atlantic Cape Community College added a new member to its Foundation Board, Louis H. Altobelli of Swainton.
Altobelli is the owner of five businesses in Atlantic and Cape May counties, including: Rio Auto Body, Inc., Court House Towing, Inc., Hi-Tech Auto & Truck Service Center, Inc., Marmora Auto Body, Inc. and Black Horse Pike Auto Body, Inc. His businesses employ 78 people and contribute more than $10 million annually to the local economy.
For more than 15 years, Altobelli has been involved with numerous professional organizations and service committees in Middle Township. He has served as the former president of the Kiwanis Club of Middle Township, a member of the Middle Township Emergency Medical Services Blue Ribbon Panel, former secretary and a current board member on the Middle Township Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is current president of the White Sands Homeowners Association.
Additionally, Altobelli has received a variety of commendations for his success as a business owner and his commitment to the community. Some of the awards include: the Allstate Autochex Premier Achiever for Customer Satisfaction, the Middle Township Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year and a Certificate of Appreciation from the Kiwanis Club of Cape May Court House.
Atlantic Cape established the Foundation in 1978 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit charity to build a broad base of financial support for its programs and services. Foundation members are drawn from local industry and small businesses and represent a broad cross-section of active leaders in the community. The Foundation has raised more than $2.5 million for scholarships, Foundation operations and to enhance academic programs and the campus environment. Annually, the Foundation provides nearly $200,000 for institutional scholarships, grants and emergency help.
