Local Resident Stars in Independent Short Film

Vincent Greer

By Gia Gallone
Although Wildwood resident Vince Greer starred in multiple films as a child, it wasn’t until recently that he stepped back onto the scene. Last spring, film crews flooded Cape May County as they filmed the independent feature film “Wetlands.” Greer just so happened to be in the right place at the right time, and after a visit to the Wildwoods Boardwalk and a chat with one of the crew members, he landed himself a background role in the film.
This small taste of fame left Greer wanting more. He decided to get back into acting and attend the Weist-Barron-Ryan Acting School in Atlantic City. At Weist-Barron-Ryan, Greer focused on method/film acting with JT Wagner, and most recently, commercial technique with President Ursula Ryan.
Greer’s most recent work was portraying a “crooked cop” in the independent short film “Room 10,” written, directed and edited by Phillip Titus Barnett Jr. of Promising The Best Productions. Although Greer had several auditions with Barnett for multiple films, Barnett decided Greer fit this specific role perfectly. Other cast members in the film include Sean Pignatelli portraying the cop’s son, Dan McDermott portraying a Russian mafia member and Jeff Burnside portraying the “contact man.” “Room 10” will soon be released at local film festivals, and Barnett is working toward bringing it to national film festivals as well.
