COURT HOUSE — When it’s Dec. 8, U.S. Postal Service letter carriers and rural carriers plan to join to collect food for the county’s less fortunate.
Donations of non-perishable food, such as peanut butter, canned goods, and dry cereal and pasta, will make a great difference in the lives of others, and will be greatly appreciated.
Postal carriers ask that all donations be left near the home’s mailbox.
They will take care of the collection and distribution to food pantries in the local community.
Food donations may also be dropped off at any participating post office including: Cape May, Rio Grande, Villas, Court House, Stone Harbor, Avalon, Sea Isle City and Ocean City.
“The food pantries are dry and this food collected will help fill those food banks, and feed a lot of needy families,” stated postal carrier John Vollrath.
