Lecture series at County Museum

The Cape May County Museum will host its free Spring Lecture Series beginning Wednesday, April 22 at 7 p.m. The series will take place at the Museum Library, 504 Route 9 North, Cape May Court House.
On April 22, George Brewer, local historian, will speak on the colorful history of Dennisville. On April 29, be entertained with tales of interesting and eccentric funeral and burial customs from the past with Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetery historian Jim Campbell.
May 6 features “Lincoln and the Right to Rise.” In commemoration of Lincoln’s 200 birthday, join Lincoln scholar Frank Coburn for this thought provoking lecture on Lincoln’s ideas on every man’s “right to rise” to his full potential.
And finally on May 13, favorite lecturer Joan Berkey will present “Lost Cape May County,” a trip into the past to visit buildings around the county that no longer exist.
