WILDWOOD CREST – A new Wildwood Crest PAL sponsored traveling basketball team is forming. On Dec. 29 at 11 a.m. tryouts will be held at the Crest Pier for fifth and sixth grade boys. Call 886-8623.
 COURT HOUSE – Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital offers a Safe Sitter babysitting course on Jan. 21 at 9 a.m. in classrooms A and B. Call 463-2367 to register.
CREST HAVEN – Acting Governor Richard J. Codey has announced that Cape May County High School/Special Services will participate in a three-year pilot program requiring juniors to complete 15 hours of community service before graduating. The pilot program makes New Jersey just the second state in the nation to require community service for high school students.
 
TEEN SCENE
Rebel: youth group which empowers other youth to make informed choices about tobacco use meets the first Monday of each month from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. at Cape Assist’s offices in Wildwood, 3819 New Jersey Avenue.  New members are welcome.
