BURLEIGH — The Free Meal Center is holding an outdoor work day on Sat., Sept. 11 at the facility, 1206 Route 9 South. The time is 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The center is hoping to complete two ongoing projects. The building has just one side left to have vinyl siding installed, and The Home Depot has donated the siding. Volunteers should bring carpentry tools.
The other project is to finish creating a park out back by removing saplings and chipping them up, leaving just mature trees. Anyone with a chainsaw or commercial chipper is urged to help.
Plenty of volunteers are also needed to drag the brush to the chipper operators. Bring gloves and wear sensible footwear and long pants.
For information about TFMC, or to volunteer to help, visit their website at http://www.FreeMealCenter.com or call Douglas Jewell at 609-780-7129.
