STONE HARBOR — The Women’s Civic of Stone Harbor held its first Story-Time Pajama Party for children, babies through age eight, at the Civic Club on Aug. 5.
The event was termed, “very successful with over 30 children and parents attending, along with an assortment of the children’s favorite stuffed animals,” said member Virginia Maslin.
Jane Boss and Jill Hertz, Civic Club members, read stories to a very attentive audience. They enjoyed listening to “Curious George”, “A Day at the Beach”, “A Fish Out of Water”, and “A House for a Hermit Crab”.
At the end of story-time, the children rushed to a table filled with all kinds of cookies and milk, donated by members of the Civic Club, Acme in Cape May Court House, and Wawa in Avalon.
The Women’s Civic Club of Stone Harbor plans to make this Pajama Story-Time for Children an annual event, as a means of connecting with the younger generation in our area.
