CAPE MAY — The Singer-Songwriter Cape May Conference featured female singer-songwriters Friday March 27 in the ballroom of Congress Hall including Michelle Dawn Mooney, anchor for NBC40 News.
The event concludes Saturday March 28 at Congress Hall and select venues in town showcasing performances by original acts and artists selected from submissions made in 2008. Over 150 acts, from solo to full band, will be selected to showcase on 15 different stages.
The event featured two afternoons of music business keynotes, panels, songwriting workshops, musician clinics, mentoring & demo listening sessions, exhibits and performance critiques at the historic Congress Hall Hotel & Harrison Conference Center.
The event is designed for singer-songwriters of all genres. The focus is on engaging emerging with established talent and music industry professionals. The performers and performances will be a priority. Music industry professionals attend the conference as performers, speakers, mentors, exhibitors and talent scouts.
They will share their experiences and network with musicians, songwriters, students, registrants and members of the community that participate in the educational seminars and the nightly music showcases. Networking with other musicians and music industry professionals will provide the education, tools and contacts to help advance careers.
