Crest Beach Patrol Wins ‘Around Island Row’ Aug. 15

NORTH WILDWOOD — The annual Around the Island Row contest was held Mon. Aug. 15. Rough seas and rain did not dampen the spirits of the stalwart rowers from beach patrols from Cape May and Atlantic counties.
Official results were provided by Chief Tony Cavalier of North Wildwood Beach Patrol.
First Place: Wildwood Crest. 2 hours, 49 minutes. Terry McGovern and Brendan Cunningham
Second Place: Avalon BP. 2 hours 50 minutes. Shane McGrath and Craig Whitehead
Third place: Margate City BP. 2 hours, 51 minutes. B. J. Fox and Carl Smallwood
