By Al Campbell

CREST HAVEN — Undine “Dina” Daugherty of Court House marked her 100th birthday Friday, June 5 surrounded by family and friends at Crest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center’s recreation room.
Freeholder Gerald Thornton presented her with a plaque from the Board of Chosen Freeholders attesting to her milestone birthday.
Daugherty was born in Bridgeton on June 5, 1909. She attended Wildwood High School and then went on to Peirce School of Business.
She married Edmond Daugherty and the couple settled in Court House with their three sons. For many years, they operated Daugherty’s Express Moving and Storage Company.
Dina and Edmond, members of the 1sst Baptist Church of Cape May Court House both had a love of horses. The equestrians split time between family, church, crossword puzzles and their love of reading on the beach, cooking and trying all the “new” Kraft Theater recipes.
Daugherty has 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
