County Library Offers Homebound Service

By Herald Staff

COURT HOUSE — The Cape May County Library offers free delivery of library material to Cape May County residents of any age who are physically unable to visit the library, including the elderly, the disabled and those who are temporarily incapacitated by illness or accident and are unable to get to the library on their own.
Home delivery visits are made once a month on Tuesdays, depending on staff availability. A schedule will be discussed with you during your first visit. This service is free; the borrower will not be charged any fines, although that person will be responsible for lost or damaged items.
Books in large print or regular size print, and audio books are available. Additionally, the borrower may request specific authors and titles or have a librarian choose them according to your interest. Four to eight items at any time will be delivered.
To sign-up contact Michael Conley in the Outreach Services Department of the Cape May County Library at 609-463-6358.
Leave a message with phone number and a mailing address for contact. All calls will be returned, according to a release.
