CG Medevacs Injured Commercial Fisherman

ATLANTIC CITY — The Coast Guard medevaced a 25-year-old deckhand July 7 about 37 miles east of Barnegat Light.
Injured was Dave Corson.
The Coast Guard received a call at about 10:50 a.m. from a member aboard the 57-foot Eaglet II, a scallop fishing boat, who stated one of the deckhands aboard the boat reportedly sustained an eye injury while welding.
The Coast Guard launched an HH-65C Dolphin helicopter rescue crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City at about 11:20 a.m.
The rescue crew hoisted the injured deckhand and transferred him to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Trauma Center here.
