CAPE MAY – Carolyn Owens of North Cape May, N.J. is the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) Volunteer of the Month for March, 2012. MAC’s Director of Tour Operations Nanci Coughlin nominated Owens for volunteering during Full Moon Ghost Hunts with Ghost-One, and Phantoms of the Physick Estate tours, and for being a Christmas caroler during this holiday season.
Owens has served as a volunteer at every one of MAC’s Full Moon Ghost Hunts with Ghost-One, when tour-goers join the paranormal research team Ghost-One as they investigate Cape May’s original haunted house, the Physick Estate, for signs of paranormal activity. Owens says volunteering for MAC is fun and she likes being involved in activities where people are enjoying themselves so much. The Volunteer of the Month award is given to a person who demonstrates a high degree of dedication, commitment and constancy to MAC’s volunteer program.
