Cape May Chamber Elects New Officers and Directors

CAPE MAY – The Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cape May has elected new executive officers and directors. The newly elected officers and directors will be sworn into office at the annual Installation Dinner on Tue., Oct. 11 at Congress Hall.
Executive Board:
John Cooke – President. Cooke has been managing the Victorian Motel with his wife Suzanne for the past eight years. He served on the Harborfest Committee in 2011, as well as the Tulip Festival, and Oktoberfest. John has more than 25 years experience in the hospitality Industry, from owning a 100- seat restaurant to managing an 800- room hotel in Philadelphia.
Barry Bruno – 1st Vice President, Bruno brings many years of sale experience to his clients. Barry is a sales agent for Chris Clemans /Sotheby’s International as well as the owner of Professional Property Service in Cape May. Barry has a strong work ethics and sits on the Board of Directors of The Cape May County Board of Realtors, CMCAR Community Service, CMCAR Professional Standards, The Executive Board of the Cape May Chamber of Commerce.
Ron Goldstein – 2nd Vice President,from Needham, Mass., graduated Harvard Dental 1978. Private dental practice in Philadelphia from 1980-2003. Faculty member at University of Pennsylvania Dental and Temple for eight years, part time. Opened new ‘retirement’ dental practice in West Cape May 2006 and moved to Cape May Point. He continues to be a ‘dental expert’ in dental litigation. Became very involved in community volunteer service. Currently Vice President of Volunteers in Medicine of Cape May County, Treasurer for Family Promise, Director for Taxpayers Assoc. of Cape May Point, and former treasurer of Cape May Chamber of Commerce. Made three trips as a volunteer dentist to Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota through the Indian Health Service.
Veronica Morey- 3rd Vice President. Morey is the Regional Vice President for Sun National Bank, overseeing both Cape May and Atlantic Counties. She has been with Sun National bank since 1999 and has been a member of the Greater Cape May Chamber of Commerce since 1990 serving as both board of director and executive board member throughout the years. Veronica also serves on the County Chamber board.
Mary Stewart- Treasurer, Stewart is the Chief Outreach Officer of the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) and has worked for MAC since 1988. She also serves on the Tourism Commission and is a member of the Cape May Artists Cooperative Gallery.
Peggy Vogel – Secretary. Vogel’s family has been coming to Cape May since 1886 when her grandfather purchased a summer home on Maryland Avenue. She works for Coldwell Banker in Cape May. She started full time in this business in 1983 and loves every aspect of it. They sell, list and have a large summer rental business.
The following members have been elected to serve on the Board of Directors: Michael Clark, Heidi Cummings, Andy Fontaine,Tina Giaimo, Susan Babineau Roberts, Robert Steenrod and Terese Thompson
