Blow Bubbles For Autism

By Herald Staff

MARMORA, – April is Autism Awareness month.
On April 29th, Upper Township’s Elementary and Primary Schools will participate in “Blow Bubbles for Autism” at 10 AM.
The event will take place in the bus loading zone between the Elementary and Primary Schools. This is a world event with the hopes of breaking the Guinness Book of World Records. Country Shore Women’s Club has donated the bubbles for all of the students.
The Upper Township Schools have been supporting awareness of autism during the month of April by reading stories and explaining autism and autism spectrum disorders to the students through books and classroom discussion.
The schools also support the local autism outreach center (FACES) by selling autism t-shirts and holding a pretzel fundraiser. All proceeds are donated to FACES. The Philadelphia Pretzel Factory makes the pretzels in the shape of a ribbon for autism awareness.
