Babies Win Hearts in Wildwood Parade

WILDWOOD — Wildwoods Baby Parade, a seashore tradition since 1909, was held July 31 at Wildwoods Convention Center.
This year’s theme was ‘Love those Wildwood Days ~ Past, Present and Future.’ Participants were encouraged to theme their attire. Judging took place while participants were in the Convention Center. Line-up started at 5:30 p.m., parade stepped off at 6.
Line of march was up the Boardwalk to 16th Avenue, North Wildwood.
Categories were: Cutest Baby Boy (under 12 months- judged on baby’s face not what he is wearing); Cutest Baby Girl (under 12 months- judged on baby’s face not what she is wearing); Fancy Children (in decorated strollers, coaches, kiddy cars or wagons, judged on total presentation); Most Original Children (decorated strollers, coaches, kiddy cars or wagons, judged on originality and theme of entry); Best Dressed (walking, judged on outfit, i.e. Sunday Best); Costumed (themed clothing, walking, judged on non-Sunday best and theme); Floats (pulled or pushed, judged on float and child(ren).
