A 2015 Lower Cape May Regional High School graduate and Cape May native is serving in the U.S. Navy with Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 73 at Naval Station North Island in Coronado, Calif.
Petty Officer 3rd Class John Edwards is a Navy aviation electrician’s mate serving with HSM 73, a versatile squadron that’s capable of completing a number of important missions for the Navy with the MH-60R “Seahawk” helicopter.

Over 250 first-year University of Vermont (UVM) students Aug. 18, led by 74 upper class leaders, including Nicholas Robbio, of Court House, began their University of Vermont experience as part of TREK, a unique, seven-day, first-year enrichment program sponsored by UVM’s Department of Student Life.
For 39 years, UVM’s TREK program has sent new students all over the state of Vermont to explore the region’s wilderness, develop leadership skills, and work on community service projects. TREK is one of the biggest and most diverse new-student, collegiate, community building programs in the northeast region.
