The following local students have been named to the University of Vermont Dean’s List:

To be named to the dean’s list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

Immaculata University students who merit inclusion in the Spring 2018 Dean’s List are listed below. To attain Dean’s List status, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 on a scale of 4.0.

Some 3,055 students were awarded degrees during the University of Vermont’s 217th commencement ceremonies.

Delaney R. Wallace, of Cape May, was among more than 890 who received bachelor’s and associate’s degrees May 27, at The University of Scranton’s  undergraduate commencement.
Wallace earned a Bachelor of Science degree in occupational therapy.

On the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) campus quadrangle May 12, over 1,000 bachelor’s degrees were awarded during the university’s 150th commencement ceremony. Trevor Gehring, of Wildwood, was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.

Local residents graduated May 10-11, from Clemson University in spring 2018 commencement ceremonies.
They are:
Paige Kathryn Cantz, of Green Creek, who graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Psycholog .
Daniel P. Coggins, of Ocean View, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing.
Joseph Peter Duma, of Woodbine, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management.

Montel Pitt, of Rio Grande, graduated from Central Penn College and participated in the college’s 136th commencement ceremony May 11 at the Forum in Harrisburg, Pa. Pitt received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration.

Students at Misericordia University qualify for the dean’s list with a 3.55 grade point average or higher. The following students were named to the dean’s list for the Spring 2018 semester:

Lexie Mealey, of Palermo, was one of two Liberty University students who raised over $2,000 for their on-campus barista, Gloria Halterman, whose home was damaged in a tornado in Lynchburg, Va. Mealy, a 2016 graduate of Ocean City High School, is a psychology/substance abuse counseling major.

Nicholas Artymowicz, of Ocean View, has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s winter 2018 Dean’s List. Eligibility for the Dean’s List requires that a student accumulate an academic grade point average (GPA) of 3.5-3.699 and earn 12 credits for the semester.

Wilkes University awarded nearly 800 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees at its 71st spring commencement ceremonies May 19.
Jessica Fetter, of Ocean City, received a Master of Science in Education.
Nicholas Rhinesmith, of Court House, received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.

Over 1,400 students were named to the Dean’s List at York College of Pennsylvania. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher.
The following local students were named to the Dean’s List at York College of Pennsylvania for the Spring 2018 semester:
Lauren Matteo, of North Cape May, a senior Early Elementary/Special Education major.
Haley Riess, of Cape May, a junior Early Elementary/Special Education major.
Victoria Sittineri, of Court House, a senior Business Administration major.

Amber Rouse, from Court House, has been named to the Spring 2018 Dean’s List at McMurry University. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must have maintained at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking 12 or more credit hours.

More than 700 students graduated from York College of Pennsylvania May 12, including:
Paul Roller, of Court House, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain Operations Management.
Victoria Sittineri, of Court House, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Jake Cassidy, of Ocean View, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
Danielle Baruffi, of Woodbine, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management.

Alyssa Joy Coleman, of Cape May, was one of 5,000-plus candidates set to graduate from the University of Kansas May 13, with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language-Hearing. Degrees are officially conferred in June.

Aaron Church, of Court House, a freshman business administration major, was among over 800 Bob Jones University students named to the Spring 2018 Dean’s List.
The Dean’s List recognizes students who earn a 3.00-3.74 grade point average during the semester.

U.S. Air Force Airman Angelena M. Smyth graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Smyth is the daughter of Lisa Tooley of Erma and David Smyth of Deerfield Beach, Fla., and granddaughter of Robert Tooley of Villas.

She is a 2015 graduate of South Miami High School, Miami.

Bruce Bruner, of Diamond Beach, received his AAS degree in Applied Technologies from the University of Northwestern Ohio May 3. He will continue his studies at the University in September for his bachelor’s degree.

Cody Lambert, of Cape May, graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in management. Graduation exercises included three separate ceremonies May 4-5.

Erin Florer and Sean Florer, both of Court House, graduated May 5 from Cedarville University. Erin Florer graduated with a degree in Accounting. Sean Florer graduated with a degree in Information Technology Management.

Miranda Gray, of Villas, a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck, has been inducted into FDU’s Phi Omega Epsilon honor society for the Fall 2017 semester.
