The Dean’s Award at Colgate is awarded to students with a 3.30 or higher term average.

To be included on the Dean’s List, a student must complete 12 or more graded credits in a semester with a semester grade point average of at least 3.4.

Rochester Institute of Technology celebrated its 131st Academic Convocation in May. Diplomas were distributed to graduates following the event at separate ceremonies held by each of RIT’s nine colleges and two academic centers. Local residents who graduated include:
James Curtis of Court House received a BS/MS in computer science from RIT’s B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences.

Stevenson University women’s swim team member Krista McGowen, of Wildwood Crest, is honored alongside her team as a Scholar All-American by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA). The Mustangs are one of the 658 teams chosen as a Scholar All-America Team across the nation, and one of only nine teams recognized in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC).
In order to be recognized to this honor, the entire team must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. The Mustangs achieved a combined GPA of 3.44 during the spring semester.
McGowen is also one of the 54 student-athletes to be named to the 2016 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Winter Academic Honor Roll. Athletes were chosen from both men’s and women’s basketball, swimming, and indoor track and field teams.
In order to be recognized as part of the academic honor roll, a student-athlete must play a varsity sport while maintaining a semester GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

To qualify for the Honor’s List, a student must carry a 3.5 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter-graded hours (four courses).

Ocean City resident, Angela Guido, a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s (FDU) Florham in Madison, has been inducted into FDU’s Phi Zeta Kappa honor society for the Spring 2016 semester.
Eligibility for membership in the University’s junior honor society is established by completing at least the first 60 credits toward an undergraduate degree. Of these, 44 must have been earned at Fairleigh Dickinson and a CGPR of 3.20 must have been maintained for all of them. All the preceding requirements must have been fulfilled prior to the accumulation of 80 credits toward the undergraduate degree.
