East Tennessee State University has announced the names of students who attained a grade point average qualifying them for inclusion in the dean’s list for the fall 2015 semester. To receive this honor, students must successfully complete a minimum of 12 hours of undergraduate coursework with a grade point average of at least 3.7 on a 4.0 scale.

Sigma Alpha Lambda is proud to announce that Mary Crews of Court House has recently become recognized as a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda, National Leadership and Honors Organization at Rowan University.

Sigma Alpha Lambda is a national leadership and honors organization dedicated to promoting and rewarding academic achievement and providing members with opportunities for community service, personal development, and lifelong professional fulfillment. Congratulations to Crews.

Washington College senior goalkeeper Sadie Robertson of Court House concluded her fourth and final season with the Washington College field hockey team. Serving as a quad-captain, she started all 17 games in goal for the Shorewomen in 2015, playing a total of 1041:53. 

Robertson was 9-7 in goal with a 2.07 goals against average and four shutouts this season. She had 69 saves and a .742 save percentage.  

In 56 career games, she earned 38 starts. In cage, she went 22-12 with 10 solo shutouts, a 1.35 goals against average and a .738 save percentage.  Robertson played attack her first two years with the team. 

Robertson was named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the third time. To be named to the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average.

Dean Howey of Ocean City is one of more than 100 students who performed with a music ensemble at Lebanon Valley College this fall. Howey, a graduate of Ocean City High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in music education and was a member of the Jazz Band, Guitar Ensemble.

Sophomore Cory Damiana, 184-lb., a native of Cape May, is a member of the 2015-16 Hofstra University Wrestling team.
Hofstra, a NCAA Division I program which competes in the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA), returns 14 wrestlers, including seven starters, from last year’s squad that placed 13th in the EIWA and 35th in the NCAA Division I Championships. The Pride, who opened their season Nov. 8, will compete in the Cliff Keen-Las Vegas Invitational at the Cashman Convention Center Dec. 4-5. The tournament features 13 of the current top 25 Division I programs in the country in the 40-team field.

Stephanie Miller, a first-year undecided major from Court House, was named to the Honors Program at Elizabethtown College for the 2015-2016 academic year. Miller participated in advanced classes within the Honors Program during fall 2015.
