AVALON – A number of events will be held at the Avalon Free Public Library from Nov. 16 through Nov. 22.
The Avalon Library received 5 stars in Library Journal’s national rating of public libraries for the third time since 2009, based on statistical performance data collected by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The library is located at 235 32nd Street and provides free and open access to first class collections, services and programs that inspire, inform and enrich the community.
Mac Computer Class at the Avalon Library:
The Avalon Free Public Library will hold a Mac computer workshop on Wed., Nov. 16 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Topic will be Getting to Know Your Mac & iWork and MS Office, part two. Classes are free but registration is required by calling 967-7155 or stopping by the circulation desk.
Wii Game Day at the Avalon Library:
The Avalon Free Public Library will hold Wii Game Day on Wed., Nov. 16 from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m. All ages are welcome. The event is free and open to the public.

The Avalon Free Public Library will hold Great Decisions Domestic Policy on Wed., Nov. 16 from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. The discussion topic will be Water. Korean War Lecture at the Avalon Library:
The Avalon Free Public Library will hold a lecture on the Korean War on Tues., Nov. 22 at 6:30 p.m. Harry Clayton, Sergeant of the American Legion Post 331, will be the presenter. A Q&A session will follow. The event is free and no registration is required.
