AVALON – The Avalon Free Public Library will be holding an assortment of activites and events starting May 16 thru May 21.
PC Users Group at the Avalon Library– Monday, May 16 from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m.
The Avalon Free Public Library will hold a PC Users Group meeting on Monday, May 16 from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. The topic will be Finding free programs, apps, and downloads on the Internet. No registration is required and the program is free and open to the public.
Knitting Instruction at the Avalon Library – Monday, May 16 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm
The Avalon Free Public Library hosts a Knitting instruction group every Monday from 3:30 to 4:30pm at the library. All levels of knitters are welcome.
Wii Game Day at the Avalon Library– Tuesday, May 17 from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m.
The Avalon Free Public Library will hold Wii Game Day on Tuesday, May 17 from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m. All ages are welcome.
Great Decisions at the Avalon Free Public Library- Wednesday, May 18 from 6 to 8pm
Great Decisions, with Dr. Sue Jacobson, will be held on Wednesday, May 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Avalon Library. This is an 8-week program with a different topic discussed each week. Registration is requested. Visit www.greatdecisions.org for more information.
Mac Computer Class at the Avalon Library –Wednesday, May 18 from 5:30-7:30pm
The Avalon Free Public Library will hold a Mac computer workshop on Wednesday, May 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Topic is Getting to Know Your Mac & Using the Internet. Classes are free but registration is required by calling 967-7155 or stopping by the circulation desk.

Independent Film Night at the Library- Thursday, May 19 at 6 p.m.
The Avalon Free Public Library will be showing the film, How I Ended This Summer, a psychological thriller in Russian with English subtitles, on Thursday, May 19 at 6 p.m. Film is not rated- ages 17 & up. Unrated films may contain objectionable content. Viewer discretion is advised. For additional information, go to www.filmmovement.com. Movie is free and open to the public.
Painting Art Workshop at the Avalon Library –Saturday, May 21 from 10am to 3pm
The Avalon Free Public Library will hold a Painting Techniques Art Workshop on Saturday, May 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is required by calling 967-7155 or stopping by the circulation desk.
