LINWOOD – Linwood Public Schools will host the second annual PL-Sea Learning Conference for educators from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Aug. 15, at the Belhaven Middle School, 51 Belhaven Ave., Linwood.
The event is free, but participants must register to attend. For information visit www.plsea.org.
PL-Sea, a “Wave of Learning,” is a free non-commercial Personal Learning Community (or PLC) of passionate educators who want to learn, discuss, and share information that is important in our classrooms and school communities.
Participants can join a new collaborative online community of educators to share ideas after the event to continue the conversation.
This event will offer a new experience by learning from peers and other professionals,
both in person and online, about topics which are vital to all stakeholders in our schools.
Many topics will be covered and are not just limited to technology. The list of sessions to be presented include:
Improving Professional Growth
STEM Curriculum
Conflict Resolution
Help for New Teachers
Supporting Struggling Students
Video for Visual Learning
A dedicated team of volunteers made up of local educators is organizing this event in order to give educators in our region an opportunity to share success stories, learn what is working in other districts, and strengthen their personal learning networks.
Free breakfast and prize raffles will be provided thanks to sponsorships from a variety of national organizations, and free tickets can be obtained here: https://bit.ly/2Y1KnOH
