MILLVILLE – Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center will serve as a drop-off center for donations to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program and the Food Bank of South Jersey. Donations will be accepted through Dec. 19.
A drop-off collection box for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program will be located in the General Store at WheatonArts. The organization’s mission is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. Learn more at www.toysfortots.org.
Non-perishable food items to the Food Bank of South Jersey (FBSJ) will be collected in the WheatonArts Administration Building and the Glass Studio. Most needed food items are peanut butter, jelly, macaroni and cheese, tuna, breakfast cereal, canned vegetables, canned fruits, and pasta. The FBSJ exists to provide an immediate solution to the urgent problem of hunger by providing food to needy people, teaching them to eat nutritiously, and helping them to find sustainable ways to improve their lives.
