Distinguished Poets to Read in Sea Isle City

SEA ISLE CITY – Two distinguished poets will be reading for the popular Beach Bards Poetry & Prose Reading Series Aug. 22, at 6 p.m. at the Sea Isle City Branch Library. 
Amy Barone and Al Tacconelli will share their award-winning poetry and copies of their publications will be available for book signing. Amy Barone, author of the new chapbook of poetry, Kamikaze Dance, was a finalist in the New Women’s Voices Competition of 2014 and is widely published. She was Italian correspondent for Women’ Wear Daily and Advertising Age for five years.  She also served as a board member of the Italian American Writers Association. A native of Bryn Mawr, PA, Amy lives in New York City.
Al Tacconelli is an artist and poet whose work appears regularly in a variety of journals and anthologies, including Avanti Popolo: Italian-American Writers Sailing Beyond Columbus. His first full-length book, Perhaps Fly, was published by the prestigious Bordighera Press in 2014. Also an accomplished artist, his paintings, prints, and drawings are included in the permanent collection of contemporary art at Passaic County Community College. He lives in Wynnewood, PA.
