Disaster Recovery Center Still Open

By Press Release

COURT HOUSE – Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) continues to assist residents and business owners in Cape May County who incurred damage during Hurricane Sandy. The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) is in the lower level of the Cape May County Main Library located at 30 West Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House, New Jersey until further notice. The DRC hours are now 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Those affected by Hurricane Sandy should register with FEMA, even if you see no storm related damage now. The deadline for registration is Dec. 31, 2012.
If you have received a letter of disqualification from FEMA, please read it fully and bring the letter into a DRC for explanation. Disqualification can be something as simple as a missed signature line or a need for one or two more boxes to be checked. Incomplete is returned as disqualified and can be confusing to the recipient. If anyone receives a disqualified designation… appeal to a DRC!
For more information, call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).
