DENNISVILLE — A recent installation of bluebird houses was placed on the Dennis Township Elementary/Middle School grounds on Academy Road in Dennisville.
Organized by Gail Fisher, a retired teacher and Cape May County Coordinator for the NJ Bluebird Society, and Lisa Salimbene, school secretary and Dennis Township Committee member, the project involves Dennis Township Student Government members helping to place bluebird houses in areas that will provide a good habitat for bluebirds to nest. This effort to increase bluebird numbers in our region will also be discussed and observed in science classes throughout the school as part of an effort to bring hands-on projects into academic instruction.
