DENNIS TOWNSHIP – In preparation for the Dennis Township PTA Community Day scheduled for May 7, students at both schools got to see what a color run looks like.
After a brief presentation by promoter Bob West, Principal Jamie VanArtsdalen stood in front of the elementary and middle school students in her best color run outfit and chose four students to hurl paint at her.
Those lucky students, Sayde Nichols, Luke Werntz, Chloe Kretschmer and Riley Morrow, enjoyed coating VanArtsdalen from head to toe in dry paint.
At the primary school, teacher Taylor Reeves joined VanArtsdalen on stage for the color demonstration. The children fortunate enough to get to throw paint on their principal and teacher were Caleb Lombardo, Gianna Peragine, Joey Raab, Cole Nichols and Cadie Lord.
Students participating in the Color Run can earn prizes as part of the fundraiser. All money raised at the PTA Community Day and Color Run will go to the Dennis Township School District STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art and Math) programs.
