Dennis Township Regular Republican Committee Candidates Turner and VanArtsdalen Announce Political Platform for Upcoming Municipal Election

Turner & VanArtsdalen

By Sponsored

This year’s Republican endorsed candidates for Dennis Township Committee, Tom VanArtsdalen and Scott Turner, have announced their political platform for the November election. They are running a campaign that promises to:

  • Hold the line on taxes and spending;
  • Preserve and improve Dennis Township’s innate character and charm;
  • Support and expand Mayor Matalucci’s efforts to secure grants to fund Dennis Township projects. Securing grant funding is a great way to support extra projects the Township would otherwise be unable to afford;
  • Encourage Dennis Township residents’ participation in governing their Township. It is your Township, we are only asking to help lead it;
  • Go against any blanket noise ordinance. A blanket noise ordinance could adversely impact many personal, recreational and business activities in Dennis Township; and
  • Substantially scrutinize any new ordinances, including evaluation of unintended consequences.

Candidate Scott Turner lives in Ocean View with his wife, Kelli, and their two children, Ryan and Megan. Both are students in the Dennis Township School District. Scott was born in Cape May Court House and spent his childhood in both Dennis Township and Green Bank. He is a former FBI Special Agent who now works in his family business, Ocean View Resort Campground.

Candidate Tom VanArtsdalen, a life-long resident of Dennis Township, is a proud member of NJ Carpenters Union Local 255. He graduated from Dennis Township School District and Middle Township High School. He was involved in school sports and clubs, and was also a camp counselor at the Dennis Township Recreation Center where he now is a volunteer coach for soccer and softball. Tom and his wife, Jamie, are raising their two children, Tenley and Gunner, in Belleplain, where they attend Dennis Township School District.

On Nov. 7, Turner and VanArtsdalen ask for your vote so they can join incumbent Dennis Township Republicans Mayor Zeth Matalucci and Deputy Mayor Julie Fry-DeRose. Further information is available at the Dennis Township Regular Republican Organization’s website www.dtnjgop.com.
