RICHLAND – Dennis Township Middle School’s Academic Team attended St. Augustine Prep’s annual middle school quiz bowl.
According to a release, Dennis Township Team B brought home the second runner-up.
Three teams: Dennis B, Alder Avenue, and Upper Township, tied for first place, but a grab bag round and a tie-breaker decided the first place and then first and second runner up.
Team B consisted of eighth-graders Chloe Kretschmer, Abbie Teefy, Ava Scheufele, Kaylee McGroarty, and Tommy Barber, and seventh graders Olivia Rodgers and Jax Pickering.
Team A included eighth-graders Isabelle Phillips, Sophie Palmer, Joe Jacquelin, Nick Jamison, and Troy Billiris and seventh-graders Julia Harris, Maggie Herouvis, and Gustavo Angulo.
Academic Team advisors Drew Albany and Amanda Unkle are proud of both teams for their teamwork and commitment to academics and look forward to more competition throughout the year.
