WOODBINE – Mayor William Pikolycky is pleased to announce that the Cape May County Library will present a decorating with natural materials demonstration at the Woodbine Branch of the CMC library, 800 Monroe Street, Woodbine, on Tues., Dec. 4, from 10 to 11 a.m.
The presenter will be Joseph Alvarez, who regularly gives gardening and horticultural programs at various CMC library locations.
Joe has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology/Environmental Science, is a Board Member of the Friends of Cape May National Wildlife Refuge, a founding member of the Cape May County Beach Plum Association, and is active in many county and agricultural programs in South Jersey.
Native gardening has enjoyed an increase in popularity recently but natural decorations have been a tradition for many years. The holiday season is a time for families to come together for many traditions. This demonstration will be followed-up with a hands on workshop at the Sea Isle branch at noon on Dec. 5, for which there is a $10 registration fee.
“We thank the library for bringing this highly informative individual to speak again at our Woodbine branch,” added Mayor Pikolycky. ”I urge anyone interested in decorating with natural materials to attend this useful session.”
For more information, call the library branch at 861-2501.
