COURT HOUSE – The Citizens Veterans Advisory Committee, more commonly known as CVAC, is hosting its second annual recognition brunch Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. at the Cape May Lewes Ferry Terminal.
This year’s Honorees include Mark Kulkowitz, Owner of the Mad Batter Restaurant; Mark Taylor, formerly the Director of Catholic Charities Ready Vet Go program, and now with the VA; Joseph Bisbing, veteran advocate and long-time leader of the American Legion in Post, County and Department level positions; and Jacqueline Blaydes, with NJ Dept of Labor and Workforce Development. All are veterans themselves and continue each and every day to serve their fellow comrades with passion, commitment and unyielding energy.
The program will open with an Honor Guard provided by the United States Coast Guard Training Center of Cape May. Key-note speaker will be Colonel Patrick M. Kennedy, Vice Commander of the 177th Fighter Wing, New Jersey Air National Guard. Colonel Kennedy’s military career began in 1991; he has over 2200 flight hours including combat support sorties for both Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Colonel Kennedy is the recipient of 18 awards and decorations, including the Distinguished Service Medal.
