WILDWOOD – At midnight July 30, Hooked On Books of Wildwood had a special midnight opening for the sale of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the eighth book in the Harry Potter saga. The play opened on Saturday night in London and the book went on sale worldwide at 12:01 a.m. Bookstores had to sign affidavits to keep them securely stored and not open the boxes before that time.
Over 100 people lined up for the special sale. There were witches, butter beer , Bertie Botts every-flavor-beans and Harry Potter cake. A lot of people dressed up in their favorite Hogwarts ensemble, but the star of the night was the book. When book 7 came out in 2007, everyone thought the story was complete, so it was a real treat for everyone to get a further tale in the ongoing saga of Harry, Ron, Hermione, Draco and their kids now at Hogwarts age.
