Historian to Present ‘Lee’s Lost Order’

COURT HOUSE – Historian and National Park Service Ranger Tracy Evans will present a compelling lecture on Gen. Robert E. Lee’s “Lost Order” and how it influenced the Army of Northern Virginia’s first invasion of the North during the Civil War.
Evans will discuss how the lost order brought on the battles of South Mountain, the besiegement of Harper’s Ferry and the Battle of Antietam and Sharpsburg.  She will also discuss how the Union Army of the Potomac reacted to the lost order.
Sponsored by the Cape May County Civil War Round Table and the Museum of Cape May County the lecture will take place 7 p.m.,  Sept. 17 in the Military Room of the Museum of Cape May County, 504 Route 9 North in Court House.
