CAPE MAY, NJ- Cape May’s 2016 Queen Maysea LXXXIV and her court will be honored at Cape May Convention Hall Aug. 3 at 7 p.m. when the new queen is crowned during the 84th Annual Queen Maysea Coronation.
Queen Maysea LXXXIV Cheyenne Hamby, 9 years of age, will enter 4th grade at Maud Abrams School this fall. Cheyenne loves collecting snow globes, meeting recruits during operation fireside and being a part of the Cape May County Performing Arts Academy competitive dance team. Her future ambitions are to be a veterinarian or a teacher one day.
This Year’s Princesses in the Queen’s Princess court are Kamryn Bartle, Jasmine Black, Brynn Brohpy, Parker Caruso, Riley Dougherty, Faith Duncan, Kaitlyn Flynn, Quinlan Hassay, Morgan Jastremski, Catherine Jennings, Naomi Jones, Victoria Laurenzi, Bella McKeown, Anastasia McPherson-Ohrenich, Heaven Melo, Lily Olexa, Jolee Peterson, Lily Ramirez, Ryan Salinsky, Ava Samaniego, Georgia Shutter, Grace Watson, Jayla Williams, Madeleine Wolff, Nahjaye Wright. This year’s flower girls are Brooklyn Bartle, Abigail Bomba, Shea Caruso, Marin Donahue, Juliana Dunkelberger, Paisley Virginia Elias, Sophia Gilliam, Gabriella Grieco, Penelope Wolff and Zoe Cardillo.
The festivities are free and open to the public with the Honorable Mayor Dr. Edward Mahaney Jr. of Historic Cape May presiding over the ceremony. Mary Stewart, Deputy Director of the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts is the Mistress of Ceremony.
Last Year’s Queen Mahogany Kelly will also participate in the coronation and be recognized for her outstanding one-year reign.
