Crest Enters Agreement with Wildwood for Boardwalk Access Ramp

By Press Release

WILDWOOD CREST – The Borough of Wildwood Crest has entered an interlocal services agreement with the City of Wildwood to build a Boardwalk Access ramp at Cresse Avenue.
A resolution authorizing the execution of this agreement was passed by the borough’s Board of Commissioners at its regular meeting on Wed., March 7.
Once constructed, the ADA compliant Boardwalk access ramp will directly connect the end of the Wildwoods Boardwalk with the beginning of the Wildwood Crest Bike Path at Cresse Avenue, providing a more safe and efficient mode of transportation.
As per the resolution, Wildwood Crest’s maximum contribution to the project is $200,000, as the significant portion of the construction project is situated in the City of Wildwood, and that funding source will be solely provided through UEZ project development money and not through taxpayer contributions.
Construction on the project is scheduled to begin shortly. The new access ramp is scheduled to be completed by the start of the 2012 summer season.
