Crabulous Crab Day at Wetlands Institute

By On Deck Staff

Are you a crabby kind of person?
Crabby or not, don’t miss the Wetlands Institute’s first-ever Crabulous Crab Day July 31 that includes crabbing tournaments, crab tasting, crab cooking, crab racing, arts and crafts, and crabulous fun from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
If you have your very own a hermit crab—or are thinking about getting one—enter it in the Hermit Crab Beauty Pageant. With every hermit crab entered, one family member gets free admission.
Got a favorite crab recipe? Prepare it and participate in a crab tasting or submit the recipe for the Crabulous Crab Day Cookbook. All cooks get credit for their recipes; just email to Patrice@wetlandsinstitute.org or fax it to 609-368-3871.
Restaurant staff who know for sure that they make the very best crab cakes in town (doesn’t everyone?) can enter the Crab Cake Cook-Off just by donating a half dozen crab cakes to the cause.
Crabulous fun takes place all day at the Wetlands Institute, 1075 Stone Harbor Blvd., Stone Harbor with activities for the whole family. Tickets are $5 per person; $3 for Wetlands Institute members. For information call 609-368-1211.
