County Resident Wins $5,000 from Lottery

By Press Release

TRENTON – There were no Mega Millions game jackpot or second tier New Jersey prizewinners, but there were two $5,000 third prizewinning tickets sold that matched the four white balls and the Gold Mega Ball for the Oct. 20 drawing. If those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, they would have been worth $20,000 each. The winning tickets were purchased at the following locations:
– WAWA #758, 30 Shore Road, Marmora in Cape May County
– Krauszer’s, 525 Avenel St., Avenel in Middlesex County.
In addition, there were 19 players, whose tickets matched the 4 white balls, making their tickets worth $500. One of those tickets was bought with the Megaplier option, making that ticket worth $2,000. Moreover, 76,555 other New Jersey players took home $141,245 in prizes ranging from $1 to $200, according to Hedinger.
“Congratulations to the lottery winners and to the retailers that sold all of those winning tickets,” said Hedinger. “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become many more Lottery ‘lucky locations’ overnight.” The winning numbers for the Oct. 20 drawing were: 06, 25, 35, 38 and 52. The Gold Mega Ball was 04, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 04.
The Mega Millions jackpot rolls to $105,000,000 for the next drawing, which will be held Oct. 23 at 11:00 pm. Powerball and Mega Millions drawings can be seen on WABC TV stations. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 45 participating jurisdictions. Drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays.
