County Museum Plans Annual Winter Reception

The Cape May County Historical & Genealogical Society’s Annual Dinner Meeting will be held on Nov. 29 at the Lobster House, Cape May. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and cash bar, followed by dinner, election of 2013 Trustees and the awarding of the 2012 Heritage Awards.
The Heritage Awards are presented to those who have contributed to the preservation of Cape May County history. Among those being honored this year are Joan Berkey and Scott Smith for their preservation of the Thomas Ludlam House in Dennis Township, and John and Betsy Way for their preservation of the Palmer Way House in Wildwood Crest.
The Thelma S. Cryder Volunteer of the Year award will also be presented to an outstanding Museum volunteer. Dinner choices are Shrimp Stuffed with Crabmeat or Broiled Filet Mignon and include salad, potato & vegetable, and apple pie.
