COURT HOUSE – The Museum of Cape May County will showcase the history of nursing as part of its exhibition, “Nurse! Nurse!”.
“The history of nursing is a fascinating one,” said Museum Director Donna Matalucci “and The Museum is proud to be able to display artifacts showing local nurses’ memorabilia.”
Visitors will see caps, uniforms, photographs, books and letters that show the evolution of the nursing profession. While many of the items on display are part of The Museum’s collection, other items are on loan from collectors.
“This is an interesting and fun exhibition,” Matalucci said. “The artifacts on display tell the story of Cape May County women and men who answered the call of being on medicine’s front line.”
“Nurse! Nurse!” opens May 1 and runs through May 25 inside The Museum’s gallery. The exhibition, curated by Barbara Novsak, R.N., is free and open to the public and may be visited Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The Museum is located at 504 Route 9 North in Cape May Court House, one-half mile south of the Cape May County Zoo.
