COURT HOUSE — County Library to host events for kids of all ages during the month of Jan.
County Library Hosts Messy Masterpieces:
The Cape May County Library invites kids, ages 2-5, and their caregivers to Messy Masterpieces to be held at 9:30 a.m. every Thurs. in Jan. The programs will take place at the Lower Cape Branch library located at 2600 Bayshore Road in the Villas.
Toddlers, ages 2-5, and their caregivers are invited to explore their creativity with a weekly hour-long art program, featuring stories and a sensory art project. Held at the Lower Cape branch of the Cape May County Library. Dress for mess!

County Library Hosts LEGO Club:
The Cape May County Library invites children, ages 5 to 12 years old, and their caregivers to attend our LEGO Clubs. LEGO Club will be held at four of the library’s branches throughout Jan.
In order to develop a theme for each meeting, we’ll read books to get ideas about what to construct and then bring out the LEGOs and build, build, build! Parents are encouraged to stay through the meetings and build with their kids.

County Library Hosts Winter Wonders Magic Show:
The Cape May County Library invites kids, ages 4 and up, and their families to a Winter Wonders Magic Show to be held at two of our branches on Sat., Jan. 9. The first show will take place at 10:00 a.m. at the Wildwood Crest Branch of the library, located at 6300 Atlantic Avenue in Wildwood Crest. The second show will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the Sea Isle City Branch of the library, located at 4800 Central Avenue in Sea Isle City.
Kids, ages 4 and up, and their families are invited to a magical afternoon! Mike Rose presents an entertaining magic show specifically for the cold and blustery winter months at the library. Mike’s “Winter Wonders Magic Show” is completely themed around snow, cold, and winter activities! Kids will experience magic that is crisp, refreshing and just plain cool!

The Cape May County Library invites kids, ages 2-5, and their caregivers to attend a Family Dance Party to be held on Mon., Jan. 11 at 10:00 a.m. The program will take place at the Main Branch of the library, located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
Kids ages 2-5 and their caregivers are invited to come show off their dance skills at the Court House Library! Put on your dancing shoes, bring your family, and join us for a fun interactive program featuring music, movement and more!

County Library Hosts Family Movies:
The Cape May County Library invites children, ages 6-12, and their families to attend our Family Movie programs. The first screening will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Fri., Jan. 15 at the Main Branch of the Library, located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House. A second screening will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sat., Jan. 30 at the Lower Cape Branch of the Library, located at 2600 Bayshore Road in the Villas.
Kids, ages 6-12, and their families are invited to watch this month’s featured film on our big screen with surround sound! Watch the movie, enjoy snacks and drinks, and relax for free at your library! This month’s film is rated PG.

County Library Hosts Kitchen Wizards:
The Cape May County Library invites kids ages 5-12 to Kitchen Wizards! The program will take place twice on Sat., Jan. 16 and kids can register for one of the two sessions. The first session will take place at 10:30 a.m. and the second will take place at 12:00 p.m. The programs will be held at the Main Branch of the Library, located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
Kitchen Wizards helps kids discover the magic of cooking, one bite at a time, through culinary enrichment programs. Kids 5-12 are invited to participate. Recipe ingredients may include or may have come in contact with nuts. Please do not register your child if they have a nut allergy. The program will take place at the Wildwood Crest Branch Library Tuesdays, Jan. 19 and 26 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. The Wildwood Crest Branch Library is located at 6300 Atlantic Avenue in Wildwood Crest.
Children ages six through ten are invited to enjoy Art @ the Library. Activities combine literature and art where children read a book and create a work of art using a variety of media and styles. County Library Hosts a Homeschool Social:
The Cape May County Library invites families to a Homeschool Social to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thurs., Jan. 21. The program will take place at the Lower Cape Branch of the library, located at 2600 Bayshore Road in the Villas.
The Lower Cape Library invites all families in the area who homeschool their children to a monthly social. Each month, we will explore a different subject area with stories and activities for the children. We will also provide books for further reading, and demonstrate databases and internet sources you can access from your home computer. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet with other families who homeschool and explore the library’s vast resources.

County Library Hosts Opposite Day:
The Cape May County Library invites kids of all ages and their families to visit the Cape May Court House Library’s Children’s Room to celebrate Opposite Day. The event will be going on from 9:00 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Mon., Jan. 25. The Main Branch of the library is located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
Visit the Cape May Court House Library’s Children’s Room all day to check out fun sensory bins, do some science experiments, color outside the lines, and other fun activities to celebrate Opposite Day! Kids will have the opportunity to earn fun prizes and are encouraged to come wearing silly costumes!

County Library Hosts Creative Writing Club:
The Cape May County Library invites kids, ages 8-12, to join Writers Rock which will be take place at 6:00 p.m. on Mon., Jan. 25. The program will take place at the Main Branch of the library located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
Kids, ages 8-12, are invited to join Writers Rock, the library’s creative writing club! We’ll meet (usually) the fourth Mon. of the month to do fun writing activities and let our creative juices flow. You will even have the opportunity to share your writing with the group if you choose.
