COURT HOUSE – Cape May County Library announces children’s events scheduled for November.
County Library Hosts a Letters to Veterans Program
The Cape May County Library invites children and their families to participate in a program to write letters and create drawings that will be sent to service members. Kids can stop in at any branch of the Cape May County Library from Nov. 1 through Nov. 10 to participate.
In the two weeks leading up to Veteran’s Day, kids will get the chance to write letters and create drawings to send to veterans. The library will be sending these thoughtful notes to Operation Gratitude where they will be included in care packages. Stop in at your local library branch to express your thanks to past members of our military.

County Library Hosts Art @ the Library in Lower!
The Cape May County Library invites children, ages 6-10 to Art @ the Library presented by the Cape May Center for Community Arts. The program will take place at the Lower Cape Branch Library Wednesdays, Nov. 1 and 29 from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. The Lower Cape Branch Library is located at 2600 Bayshore Road in the Villas.
Children ages six through ten are invited to enjoy Art @ the Library. Activities combine literature and art where children read a book and create a work of art using a variety of media and styles. Parental participation is welcomed. These programs are presented by the Community Center for the Arts. For more information, call (609) 884-7525.

County Library Hosts LEGO Clubs
The Cape May County Library invites children, ages 5 to 12 years old, and their caregivers to attend the library’s LEGO Clubs. LEGO Club will be held at four of the library’s branches throughout Nov.
In order to develop a theme for each meeting, we’ll read books to get ideas about what to construct and then bring out the LEGOs and build, build, build! Parents are encouraged to stay through the meetings and build with their kids.

County Library Hosts a Homeschool Open House
The Cape May County Library invites families to a Homeschool Open House to be held at 10:30 a.m. on Fri., Nov. 3. The Homeschool Social will take place at the Main Branch of the library, located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
All homeschooling families are welcome to attend the library’s annual Homeschool Open House! This year, try your hand at The Amazing Library Race! Learn about the different services that the library offers while completing fun activities with the whole family. Be sure to bring any questions you have about how the library can help you.

The Cape May County Library invites kids, ages 2-5, and their caregivers to attend a Family Dance Party to be held on Thurs., Nov. 9 at 10:00 a.m. The program will take place at the Main Branch of the library, located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
Kids ages 2-5 and their caregivers are invited to come show off their dance skills at the Court House Library! Put on your dancing shoes, bring your family, and come for a fun interactive program featuring music, movement and more!

County Library Hosts Wacky Food Science
The Cape May County Library invites kids, ages 5-12, and their families to a Wacky Food Science program. This program will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Mon., Nov. 13 at the Main Branch of the library, located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
The perfect chance to play with your food, parent approved! You’ll see dancing gummy worms, dissolve M&Ms, test out your building skills, and much more. Lots of yummy treats for experiments and eats! Some of the food used may contain nuts. Please talk to one of the librarians if you have any questions about the specific food items that will be used.

County Library Offers 4-H Cloverbuds Youth Development Program
The Cape May County Library invites children, ages 5-8, to register for a workshop hosted by Cape May County’s 4-H Foundation. The program will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wed., Nov. 15. It will take place at the Lower Cape Branch library, located at 2600 Bayshore Road in the Villas.
Children ages 5-8 are invited to a workshop hosted by Cape May County’s 4-H Foundation. Each month, there will be hands-on activities to introduce children to a wide variety of 4-H project experiences. Parents and guardians encouraged to attend with their children. The Cape May County Library invites children, ages 6-12, and their families to attend the Family Movie Night Program. The screening will be at 6:00 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 17 at the Main Branch of the Library located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
Kids, ages 6-12, and their families are invited to watch this month’s featured film on the library’s big screen with surround sound! Watch the movie, enjoy snacks and drinks, and relax for free at your library! This month’s film is rated G.

County Library Hosts Kitchen Wizards
The Cape May County Library invites kids, ages 5-12, to Kitchen Wizards! The program will take place twice on Sat., Nov. 18 and kids can register for one of the two sessions. The first session will take place at 12:00 p.m. and the second session will take place at 1:30 p.m. The programs will be held at the Main Branch of the Library, located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
Kitchen Wizards helps kids discover the magic of cooking, one bite at a time, through culinary enrichment programs. Plenty of samples to take home and copies of recipes provided. Kids ages 5-12 are invited to participate. Space is limited and registration is required. Recipes are not guaranteed to be nut-free.

County Library Hosts Creative Writing Club
The Cape May County Library invites kids, ages 8-12, to join Writers Rock, which will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Wed., Nov. 29. The program will take place at the Lower Cape Branch of the library located at 2600 Bayshore Road in the Villas.
Writers Rock is a creative writing club for kids 8-12 years old that will meet once a month to participate in fun activities to hone our writing skills and inspire our creativity. Registration is available in the Children’s Room of the Lower Cape Library or by calling (609) 886-8999.
