County libraries host Story Time for youngsters

Pre-School children are invited to attend story time designed to provide experiences that enrich early literary and social development. Reading aloud to a preschooler is a great way to encourage learning development to help prepare your child’s independent reading later in life. Preschool story times are filled with stories, finger plays, action rhymes, music and more.
Story time takes place every Tuesday beginning Jan. 12 at Cape May County’s Main Library, 30 Mechanic St. in Cape May Court House. The schedule times are: 9:30-10 a.m., Bouncing Babies (Birth to 1 year old); 10-10:25 a.m., Toddler Time (2 year olds); 10:30-11:30 a.m., Pre-school (3-5 year olds).
Pre-School Story Time at Upper Township Library takes place every Wednesday beginning Jan. 13 at the temporary location in the Cedar Square Shopping Center, 2087 Route 9, Ocean View. Teeny Weenies, 10 a.m., (Birth to 2 year olds) and pre-school (3-5 year olds) at 10:40 a.m.
Preschool Story Time at Woodbine Library takes place every Thursday beginning Jan. 14 at 800 Monroe St., 10-11 a.m. – Preschool (2 to 5 year olds).
Pre-School Story Time at Wildwood Crest Library every Thursday beginning Jan. 14 at 6301 Ocean Ave.; 10-10:25 a.m., Teeny Weenies (Birth to 2 year olds); 10:30-11:30 a.m., Preschool (3-5 year olds).
Pre-School Story Time at Sea Isle City Library begins Jan. 12 at 125 John F. Kennedy Boulevard; 10-10:30 a.m.–Toddler Time (2 year olds); 10:45-11:45 a.m.–Preschool (3-5 year olds).
Children’s Programs, Ocean City Public Library Annex, 1501 West Ave.: Tuesdays, Storymates, ages 4-5, 10:30-11:00 a.m.; Family Craft Hour, ages 7-11, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Rhythm and Rhymes, 9 months-2 years, 10-10:20 a.m., parents must stay with children; Toddler Time, 2-3 year olds, 11-11:30 a.m., parents must stay with children; Snacks and a Movie, grades 4-8, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Fridays, Toddler Time, ages 2-3 years, 11-11:30 a.m.
Avalon Library Story Time, 10 a.m., Thursdays, 235 32nd St., stories, songs, crafts for children of all ages.
