STONE HARBOR – The Bastian and Munero families hosted their 11th annual Corn Hole Tournament Aug. 31 at their Stone Harbor property at 103rd street known as “The Flag House.”

According to a release, the tournament was not only for fun but to also raise money for the American Legion.

Specifically, the Stephen Ludlam Post 331 in Stone Harbor.

Twenty-eight teams competed and all teams are required to have a team name containing some form of corn reference.

Team names included “Cornucopia, Corn to be Wild, Amaizing Grace, and the Shuckers”

Stone Harbor Mayor Judy Davies-Dunhour  commented  “It is great when

you can combine a good time with a worthwhile cause and this event clearly achieves both.”

On Sept 4, a $2,100 check was given to Commander Tom McCullough of the American Legion post.
