LOWER TOWNSHIP – The campaign of Lower Township Councilmen Tom Conrad, Dave Perry and Roland Roy, Jr. has hit its stride over the last several weeks as their supporters filled the Red Brick Ale House to capacity for a fundraiser, and then more than two dozen volunteers joined Conrad, Perry and Roy to hit the streets in all three Township Wards over the past two weeks.
“We are humbled by the number of volunteers and residents who share our same vision of moving Lower Township forward as we aim to continue building a better Lower Township. The support we are receiving is incredible; it is overwhelming,” said Councilmen Roland Roy, Jr.
Councilman Dave Perry added, “The message we are sharing with the residents we speak with is straightforward – we want to continue the progress we’ve made for our community over the past several years. Over the past two years we have worked hard to prioritize issues and complete projects that our residents have shared are important to them. We achieved a zero tax increase two of the past four years, put more police officers on the street, fixed major infrastructure issues that have existed for decades, entered into shared service agreements that have saved Lower Township residents millions of dollars, and implemented several community programs for our youth and seniors. As we canvass neighborhoods and speak to the young, old and everyone in between, it is abundantly clear that people are satisfied with the direction our town is heading and I am honored to help continue in that direction.”
“This campaign experience has been very gratifying not only because of the extraordinary people volunteering their time to support us, but because it is evident that the residents we visit are acutely aware of the progress being made in Lower Township,” said Councilman Tom Conrad. He continued, “We offered an agenda that was transparent and put the interests of the people first, and all members of Council have stayed true to our promises and a lot of good things are getting accomplished.”
Over the past several years, Council has achieved ZERO tax increase in two of the last four years, implemented shared service agreements saving MILLIONS of dollars, adopted a redevelopment plan for the airport that led to the demolition of the former Everlon Building and the addition of new businesses to the Township, implemented FEMA Community Rating System lowering flood insurance, approved several major infrastructure projects, implemented the first ever infrastructure/road repair program, added a code enforcement officer and a vacated property ordinance, added more police officers, improved beach access throughout the Township, approved the award-winning Beach Drive Pedestrian Safety Improvement Project and created the Healthy Youth Coalition.
Council truly IS building a better Lower Township for our residents. Please vote to re-elect Councilmen Tom Conrad, Dave Perry and Roland Roy, Jr. to continue this progress.
