VILLAS – Families Matter behavioral health has launched the Thrive Youth Treatment Program. This is geared to youth ages 13 to 18 who are using alcohol and other substances.
Thrive is an after-school program scheduled Wednesday and Friday from 3 to 5:15 p.m. Transportation is provided for county residents, according to Director Patricia M. Campbell.
Thrive Youth Treatment Program offers a holistic approach to substance abuse treatment with a focus on peer support, individual and group counseling, family education, vocational awareness, and creative expression.
The fully funded program will begin Oct. 12. All youth must attend an intake session with a parent or guardian before starting the program. There is no charge to a family.
